*The first time it is applied, your dog must wear a Scalibor® Protector Band for 1 to 2 weeks before protective levels are established over the entire body, and maximum effectiveness may not occur for up to 3 weeks. So it’s best to apply the Scalibor® Protector Band at least 10 to 14 days before you anticipate tick and/or flea exposure.

Note: If you bathe your dog with a degreasing shampoo, or a shampoo for treating seborrhea (a skin disease), the natural oils from the skin will be removed, and the effectiveness of the Scalibor® Protector Band may be reduced temporarily. But as soon as bath time is over, the Scalibor® Protector Band will start re-delivering the active ingredient to the natural oils of the skin.
